I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and currently live in Pleasant Hill, California. I have loved art ever since I discovered
I could draw in the third grade. But the engineer in me, realized that it would be very hard to make a living in the art world. I graduated
from the University Santa Barbara with a double degree in Business and Computer Science. I immediately went to work in the tech world.
In 1995, I married my wonderful husband, Sidney Fluhrer, who supported my dream to be an artist. With his support, I quit work and designed my
own software program to help me create my StainGlass patterns. Since my software program contains all the information of my designs, I can
command a XYZ machine to cut out the difficult shapes. (Shapes with tight inside curves are particularly difficult to cut by hand.)
As you can see, I enjoy hiking and cycling, which inspires much of my designs.
